Creating a Form
To create a form using the Drag and Drop Form feature, follow these steps:
Source Sheet Selection: Start by selecting the desired source sheet from which you want to gather or update data.
Column Selection: Choose the columns that you want to display in the form. These are the fields that users will interact with when submitting information.
Form Type: Select the form type based on your use case:
Add Row: When users fill in this form, the provided information will be added as a new row in your selected data sheet. Use the "Add Row" form type to easily collect new data and append it as new rows in your source sheet
Update Row: This option is used when you want to update an existing row in your data sheet. The form will allow you to provide new information that will replace the existing values in the chosen row.
Select "Define Action" to set up the actions that the form you're filling out will take.
Row Source Configuration: Configure the row source settings:
Page Params and Page State: Define the parameters and states of the page where the form is being used. This helps customize the behavior of the form based on the context in which it's presented.
Row Source Key: Specify the key or identifier that uniquely identifies the row you intend to update. This is crucial for the "Update Row" functionality.
By configuring page params, page state, and the row source key, you can ensure that the form interacts with the right data in the right context, enhancing the user experience.
